Hiya 1C!

Hope you are enjoying the holidays but also taking the time to keep your mind active by doing revision and your bodies healthy by engaging in regular exercise! Anyways this first semester has been very eventful and as a class we have managed to survive the carnival and a whole host of activities! In the process I believed we have gained more insight into our strengths and weaknesses. I have also in the process seen the fine examples of character in the midst of all these activities from some of you. I would like to praise these people and believe me when I tell you that these positive qualities and character will someday carry you further in life than just academics alone. The smartest and strongest person on earth without integrity, discipline and dedication may one day end up a very dangerous criminal or commit a serious offence!

Anyways no more nagging just to remind all of you to log into the GESS Portal and complete the GESS carnival e-survey!

1C this morning I was dismayed to see three quarters of the class late for assembly. Every morning I have to remind all of you to sit next to the yellow line and use it as a marker. Remember if the class does not sit down early we will lose our precious spot everyone morning and have to squeeze with other classes. So I have instructed Richmond not to open the classroom early in the morning so all of you will gather early to morning assembly. If you want the privilege you have to earn it otherwise it will be taken away from you. 1C I expect much better from all of you a class of acheivers!

Dear 1C,

Its the second day since all of you have returned from the camp. It was very tiring for me but I am thankful because I got to know all of you better. Even though I did not mention this during the camp. I noticed quite a number of you assisting your classmates and helping out either when asked by the teachers such as myself or on your own initiative. I like to say I was very impressed with these people, even the teachers think you guys are a special bunch. So now that all of you know your CCA allocations, I hope all of you will similarly strive to do well in them. Win honours for the school and yourselves. I believe this class is capable of outstanding academic and CCA results.

The GESS camp has been a wonderful experience for me. It was my first time leading a class of Sec 1 students and I'm very thankful to the powers up there for giving me all of you as my form class.

Hope all of you had fun and got to know your classmates better (even their sleeping habits). From this camp I managed to see a lot of you in action and saw many of you with leadership skills, even the ever-sombre Mr Kung mentioned that he was quite impressed with our class and believe that many of the school's future leaders will rise up from our class. Rest assured I will do my very best to maximise your potential.

Now that camp is over, I hope all of you will start to work on your academic subjects and do me proud in that area as well. Work hard and play hard!

To Tze Han and the rest of you, DO NOT FORGET to go to the Indoor Sports Hall from 2-4pm for your lesson in first-aid. IT IS COMPULSORY. If any of you need some sort of evidence to inform your parents, you can direct them here. No letter was given out because this is part of your cirriculum, and all of you are supposed to stay back on Fridays for CCAs in the future.
